The latest edition of the Self-Help Group Directory is now available with over 300 listings that represent more than 400 meetings throughout the metropolitan area.

The easy-to-use categorical and alphabetical indexes will guide you to groups that address issues of parenting, grief, adoption, mental health/mental illness, disabilities, substance abuse, physical health/physical illness, and many other topics.

Mental health professionals, school counselors, employee assistance directors, ministers, agency staff, referral specialists, or anyone who assists clients, employees, and other persons to locate community resources will find this directory invaluable.

Numerous web site addresses have been added for easy access to health information.

In addition to updated listings, over 80 new groups, representing approximately 100 new meetings, have been added.
Purchase price is $50.00.

As a volunteer during summer break, Michelle Waddell conducted the research to update this directory for 2008. Michelle is an undergraduate senior at Washington University in St. Louis, majoring in Psychology and Religious Studies and minoring in the Humanities. Active in campus life, Michelle serves as the Director of a Peer Counseling Group, is an on-campus Residential Advisor, is a student representative on the school’s Committee on Sexual Assault, and is a member of the Psychology Honor Society, Psi Chi.
