New programs help Older Adults and African Americans
Bryan Evans, MSW, has expanded "Care of Self/Care of Others" to include older adults and their caregivers. The presentation focuses on depression in later years, how to increase help-seeking behavior, and mental health resources for older adults.
Bryan continues with Part Two of the highly successful "We Are More Than You Think: Removing the Stigma of Mental Illness and Promoting Mental Wellness in the African American Community." Part Two offers practical tips to help individuals support loved ones who have mental illness and suggestions on how to help end stigma. This presentation was streamed in a live web conference in July 2011, but you can view it anytime at http://www.mimhtraining.com/webconferences/2011/06/17/we-are-more-than-you-think-part-ii-removing-the-stigma-of-mental-illness-and-promoting-mental-wellness-in-the-african-american-community/.
