Links to Mental Health Websites

This page contains four sections:

This PDF document contains Links, names, brief descriptions and phone numbers to a wide range of entities - typically in the St. Louis metropolitan area or Missouri - but some are national in scope. The featured Links include mental health crisis lines, clinical trials, counseling, MO Department of Mental Health facilities and affiliates, self-help, alternative education for youth and residential services for children and adolescents.

A PDF chart of Links to organizations - typically national - you might find useful as credible web sites for additional education information, downloadable files, links to other sites, etc.

Links to educational, consumer-oriented magazines - The following links will connect you to web sites of print magazines (subscription fee applies) and the publication's cost-free, online mini-version of the magazine. Depending on the publication, additional features can include blogs, online support, reading lists, online forums, ability to submit poetry, opportunity to sign up for e-newsletters, etc.
  • SZ Magazine - "Dedicated to bringing hope, dignity and support by providing inspiration and information about mental health issues."
  • Esperanza - "Hope to cope with anxiety and depression."
  • bp Magazine - "Our mission is to empower people with hope, helpful tools and ongoing support so they will feel informed, equipped and motivated to meet their challenges of bipolar disorder and live productive, fulfilling lives."

Links to online screenings - These can provide a quick, confidential and preliminary assessment for mental health concerns, which can then be shared with health or mental health care providers for follow-up discussion. These screenings do not constitute a formal diagnosis and should not be used as a substitute for a one-on-one, in-depth assessment.
  • MyMoodMonitor - The M3 Screen is a brief symptom checklist that allows you to rate your mood in one easy review. It is comprised of a short series of questions that touch on important indicators of your mental health.
  • Anxiety screening - This screening tool is offered by Freedom From Fear. (If the direct link no longer functions properly, visit Freedom From Fear to locate the screening tool on its web site.)
  • Depression screening - This screening tool is offered by Freedeom From Fear. (If the direct link no longer functions properly, visit Freedom From Fear to locate the screening tool on its web site.)
